Run!!!!
When in a battle while playing solo (but with heros and henchmen) a point is sometimes reached when it is time to RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!
Though I have heros set for "Guard", they and the henchmen usualy stand and fight way too long and die while I RUN.
If I take time to click each heros "avoid combat" button before I run, I end up dead.
Is there a 'panic button' way to have everyone cut and run?

while you are running, set down the All AI flag somewhere far ahead in the direction you want them to run

^ What he said. I just use the "All" flag to get all the heroes and hench out of the area quickly. They all respond to the flag unless they somehow get bodyblocked.

Yup, flagging is really the only way to move heros/henchies where you want them to.

Unless you flag on an area which isn't explorable - then they just stand around not even defending themselves looking at their nails (or in Koss's case fluffing his afro)
I have found that (as a warrior) i tend to flag my heroes and hench behind me so i can tank the aggro - then disengage the flag so they run with me as i retreat (while in the middle of the group, spreading the aggro as we all leg it)
Sometimes the hero's will run back into the mob, following your last movement but its few and far between
A general disengage click would be nice though!

That would be a Brave Sir Robin button,
Most times, as others have said, All flagging somewhere ahead of where you wish to run or fall back to works well enough, provided everyone was on Guard or Avoid to start with.

A panic button would be nice to flee AoE damage where the heroes would scatter in a larger circle.
As far as running from a losing battle, I flag the heroes away. I usually leave one hero to hold the aggro and die while the rest of us run like chickens! Lately I have been using a hero pet to do this.

i tend to have problems when it comes to the minimap if where im running may have a choke point or a wall and sometimes the terrain kinda blends into mountains. besides it would just be funny....hit the panic button and they all start running around waving their arms all willy nilly like.
